Having developed and implemented an R&D project conceived some time ago at the Group's plants, Caviro Extra is now ready to further exploit one of the most precious resources that its recovery cycle makes available: the TANNINS contained in fresh marc.
After selecting the best origins and varieties of fresh grape seeds during the winegrowing campaign, which were then dried and stored, and after conducting the first experimental laboratory tests to fine-tune dosages and extraction times, Caviro Group’s R&D team began working on a structure to extract and purify tannins with characteristics suitable for the oenological market.
In record time, the product was tested to full satisfaction at some member wineries, and now Caviro Extra is ready to supply tannins in powder or liquid form for use as oenological aids to member wineries and commercial companies in the sector.
