An opportunity for discussion that brought together the production system, represented by Caviro, the biocarburation chain in the shape of Ham Italia, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.assocostieri.it\/newsite\/\">ASSOCOSTIERI<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ngvitaly.com\/\">NGV ITALIA<\/a><\/strong> and the road transport supply chain with the contribution of <strong>hauliers who already have experience with BioLNG powered vehicles<\/strong>, Nicolosi Trasporti and Maganetti Trasporti, as well as <strong>representatives of leading HGV manufacturers such as Iveco, Scania and Volvo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab<em>The Caviro Group has begun analysing the carbon footprint of all of the Group&#8217;s plants and its <strong>Scope 3 emissions, i.e. the emissions produced by our supply chain, including transport, that have an important impact on the emissions connected with the Group&#8217;s activities,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 underlines <strong>Giampaolo Bassetti, General Manager of Caviro<\/strong>.  <em>\u201cWith the aim of reducing our overall emissions, <strong>we have, therefore, begun a process of promoting biocarburation<\/strong>, a commitment that involves the world of logistics an <strong>lays a pathway for the future direction the Group intends to take in terms of road transport<\/strong><\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The long-standing partnership between the Caviro Group and Ham Italia was further consolidated with <strong>the construction of the BioLNG production plant at the <a href=\"https:\/\/caviroextra.it\/it\">CAVIRO EXTRA<\/a> factory in Faenza.<\/strong> The advanced biomethane, which Caviro Extra has been producing since 2019, is liquefied and enters the Ham distribution network, becoming a valid solution for the decarbonisation of heavy transport.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab<em>Today&#8217;s conference is <strong>another step towards the sustainability of road transport<\/strong>, not just in <strong>environmental<\/strong> terms but also from an <strong>economic<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 explains<strong>Aldo Bernardini, Managing Director of Ham Italia<\/strong> -. <em>&#8220;In fact, many hauliers have not yet sufficiently explored the opportunities &#8211; widely supported by the data &#8211; of switching to BioLNG. <strong>Although the price of methane and liquefied methane (LNG) is still high at present, the data shows that it compares favourably or is at least aligned with that of diesel. And with practically zero CO<sub>2<\/sub> and dust emissions.
