Late yesterday morning there was an accident at the Caviro Extra plant in Faenza that caused a large fire in the alcohol storage area.
The safety protocol and the evacuation plan proved highly effective with all personnel quickly making their way to the external assembly points, ensuring that nobody was involved in the event.
Serious damage appears to have been caused but we hope to quickly resume the activities affected by the fire, together with others that have not been affected and are continuing as normal.
Once again, we would like to thank the fire service and the police for quickly getting the fire under control and ensuring everyone’s safety, Arpae Emilia-Romagna for immediately assessing the air quality and the Municipality of Faenza, involved in the provincial emergency coordination centre, for the assistance and support provided during these hours.
