A product formulated according to the guidelines of the WHO already on sale in CaviroTeca brand shops
Thanks to Caviro Extra, the Caviro Group has launched a special hand cleansing and sanitising liquid, made with alcohol of agricultural origin.
A choice that fits with the circular economy vision that has always been a priority for the company from Faenza which, thanks to its innovation and research, creates products of high added value based on the by-products of the food and wine production chains.
“The project was initiated from a real and pressing need, – explains Fabio Baldazzi, Director at Caviro Extra -. Because of the health emergency, during the first part of 2020, demand for alcohol disinfectant grew exponentially, both among organisations, companies and pharmacies and from the general public, who often had trouble finding effective domestic disinfectants. Caviro Extra organised itself very quickly and, by pulling together, managed to meet most of the demand”.
This is where the idea of creating a sanitising product specifically designed for hands came from. The formula complies with the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization and is based on four main ingredients: alcohol (80%), glycerine (for a stronger effect and to soften the skin), hydrogen peroxide and water, in a liquid formula, not a gel, to avoid stickiness.
“Before putting the sanitiser on the market, – Baldazzi adds –Caviro Extra obtained a PIF, a Product Information File. In other words, the product underwent allergy, stability and packaging neutrality tests, and we also obtained a guarantee of cosmetic conformity for all the ingredients used. In this way consumers know they can rely on an effective and safe product”.
Sustainability, a key concept for the entire Caviro Group, is also one of the project’s core values, since the alcohol used for the detergent is entirely of agricultural origin and the packaging is 100% recyclable.
By choosing to remain faithful to the WHO formula, the addition of fragrances of any kind was avoided, minimising the possibility of an allergic reaction. Hence the phrase that accompanied the product launch: “It’s nature that protects you”.
Caviro Extra detergent and sanitiser liquid is now available in three formats: a pocket-sized sprayideal for disinfecting your hands when out of the house; a a 500ml spray to position at entrances to homes, public premises or workplaces; a 500ml refill, the most environmentally friendly choice when replenishing your stocks.
